Trevor Thomas

Trevor Thomas brings more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing to his position as Senior Vice President, Sales at Hydra. In this key leadership role, Thomas is responsible for not only acquiring and retaining advertisers for Hydra, but also is responsible for all of its distribution channels including web, email, search and social media publishers for the company.

Prior to joining Hydra, Thomas was Senior Vice-President of Sales at Experian Interactive Media where he successfully led a team of 65 national, regional and local sales professionals in doubling the number of lead clients and increased revenues to over $350 million annually. In this role Thomas also redesigned the sales structure, instituted robust tracking and metrics, and led employee skill development and coaching initiatives. Thomas was also responsible for the affiliate distribution channel known as Affiliate Fuel and was responsible for the marketing and sales efforts for Vente, Inc in Omaha, Nebraska.

Thomas also served as founder and CEO of his own consultancy practice where he consulted for national and international starts-up and Fortune 100 client organizations, providing expertise in sales operations, product marketing and market/channel development for wireline/wireless telecommunications and enterprise software companies. He also held executive sales leadership positions at Docent Software, Inc., and Northpoint Communications.

Starting his career at SBC Communications, Inc. (Pacific Bell), Thomas moved up to increasing roles of responsibility, finally serving as Vice President of Global Sales Operations where he led over 3,000 people and was in charge of all aspects of sales operations for global markets, working on marquee accounts with annual revenues of over $3 billion.

Thomas holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Florida State University and has completed postgraduate programs at Columbia University Graduate Business School and at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He also serves as Chairman, Supervisory Committee for Patelco Credit Union, California's largest credit union with over $4 billion in assets.

Thomas lives in West Hollywood, and is an avid traveler.
