As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Mason Wiley comes to Hydra with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, brand-building, direct response, ecommerce and sales. With a proven ability to lead high performance teams, Wiley is responsible for identifying opportunities, defining strategy, directing corporate communications, and optimizing advertiser client campaigns to drive increased response.
Wiley's diverse career includes developing the television campaign that repositioned Arnold Schwarzenegger from rich Hollywood movie hero to heroic political outsider. In addition, Wiley also is responsible for pioneering emerging and alternative media channels along the lines of branded entertainment, wireless, viral and guerilla/street team marketing for companies such as Universal Studios Hollywood, Lotus Automotive, Coca-Cola, Sony, Countrywide Financial, Disney Theatrical and ABC Networks. He was instrumental in branding campaigns for such powerhouses as Mattel, Candies, Disney, HBO and FOX Sports, among others.
Prior to joining Hydra, Wiley was Vice President of Tonic L.A., serving as a senior consultant on customer experience projects for clients such as WellPoint and First Marblehead Co. Previously he was Vice President and Creative Director at Cimarron Group, a leading entertainment-focused ad agency, and VP of Marketing at CU Shopper, an affinity online retailer with exclusive access to over 44 million credit union members, allowing them to both purchase and finance large-ticket items through their credit union.
Wiley holds an MS in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern and a BA from Wesleyan.
