Gary Cooperman
Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Gary Cooperman brings over 20 years of professional experience in finance, to lead Hydra's financial operations, planning, analysis, systems, reporting, and human resources.
Prior to joining the company, Cooperman served as Vice-President of finance and accounting at Helio, LLC., where he was responsible for facilitating the sale and subsequent integration of the company to Virgin Mobile in June of 2008. In addition, as an early stage employee, he built out numerous financial systems and processes and was directly responsible for revenue assurance, credit strategy and the development of key operating metrics to measure customer performance, while also managing all enterprise-wide accounting and financial reporting. Prior to working at Helio, Cooperman held senior finance positions at several notable companies including Thomson Reuter's Westlaw division, where he built out a finance department for a newly acquired subsidiary, Nortel Networks and Ernst & Young. Throughout his tenure, Cooperman managed over $1 billion in finances.
Cooperman holds a B.A. in business economics and sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Southern California. He became CPA certified while working within Ernst & Young's Entrepreneurial Services Group in San Francisco and New York City.
