Edward P. Roberto

Edward Roberto brings more than 25 years operational, financial, and technical leadership experience in growing high technology companies to his position as President of Hydra. Responsible for managing overall operations, Roberto’s focus is on building the management team, business processes and capabilities to maintain Hydra’s leadership position as the largest pure performance-based advertising network, and evolve the company to serve new markets and continue the company's rapid growth.

Immediately prior to joining Hydra, Roberto served as COO for Trenstar, Inc. where he was responsible for streamlining US Operations and Global IT. Other past leadership positions include co-founder and CEO of enterprise application software company Newmerix Corporation, co-founder and CEO of Asia Online, Ltd, a consolidator of ISPs in Asia Pacific, and co-founder and VP-Business Development at VIA Internet (Nasdaq:VNWI), a consolidator of ISPs in Europe and Latin America, and Vice President of Corporate Development for Logicom International. Through this experience, Roberto developed a successful track record for business planning, corporate growth, securing equity financing and readying companies for initial public offerings.

An active angel investor in the Denver-Boulder, CO corridor and a limited partner in venture capital funds, Roberto also consults to a number of venture and private equity firms on corporate management, turnaround operations, intellectual property sales and financial model development for fundraising in support of their portfolio companies.

Roberto earned his MBA from the Daniels School of Business at the University of Denver and studied Electrical and Mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado. His extracurricular interests include various motorsports, martial arts, digital and underwater photography.
