Hydra Bolsters In-House Creative Team with Addition of Johnny Talisman as Creative Director

Appointment Comes on the Heels of Hydra's Newly Developed Internal Creative Procedure for Campaigns

Los Angeles, CA — December 15, 2008 - Hydra, the largest and fastest growing affiliate advertising network distributing results-based campaigns through banners, social media, e-mail and search marketing today announced it has appointed industry veteran Johnny Talisman to the network's newly formed position of Creative Director. In his new position, Talisman will head up Hydra’s in-house creative team and will be responsible for developing unique and important creative that will meet the network’s goal of delivering the highest possible conversions for their clients.

As the largest pure performance-based ad network, Hydra has set its primary focus on driving higher conversions to generate more revenue for its affiliated publishers, and more customers for its advertisers. As a result of that commitment, the network is investing in strengthening its creative department with industry veterans who can apply their direct experience to create higher-producing campaigns. Along with the appointment of Talisman, who previously worked for McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather and developed campaigns for Boeing, Cathay Pacific, AltaVista and Shell. Hydra has hired a Senior Designer who will start January 1st.

With the addition of Talisman and the soon-to-be-appointed Senior Designer, Hydra's internal creative team will feature eight strong in-house employees who are able to deliver the network's clients unique and conversion-based creative to their customers.

Along with the banner appointments of Talisman and the soon-to-be-named new Senior Designer, Hydra has also implemented a new procedure whereby Hydra's seasoned in-house marketing team provides marketing strategy and copy at the outset of campaign development, prior to design. Ensuring that each campaign has the right focus and messaging is a critical first step for delivering higher-converting campaigns than others. By carrying out the established strategy in the design of email and web banner display ads as well as landing pages, Hydra's clients have already seen increased conversion rates.

The new process has already been put to the test for a wide range of advertisers both large and small, from AT&T, Gevalia, SuperFood and AARP, to Terminix and InStyler.
