Search Engine Marketing Manager
Hydra operates one of the fastest growing and leading performance-based cost-per-action (CPA) online advertising networks. We are seeking an experienced Search Engine Marketing Manager to join our established online direct marketing powerhouse and division where you will have the opportunity to work in results oriented environment along-side industry experts in internet marketing.
The SEM Manager is responsible for all aspects paid search campaign management; keyword research, implementation, testing, bid management, monitoring, tracking and reporting. The right candidate will work with internal and external teams and clients. Plus, the candidate must be able to communicate SEM best practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage CPC and paid search campaigns on the Google, Yahoo and MSN networks
- Responsible for all phases of campaign management, from set-up to reporting
- Build keyword list, create ad copy and provide SEM landing page best practices
- Report, monitor, track and analyze ROI(s) and KPI(s) using external bid management tools
- Manage presentations and strategic discussions
- Work in tandem with internal cross functional teams and clients
- Grow revenues by determining up-selling/cross-selling opportunities
- Keep internal teams and clients informed on SEM news, tactics, and strategy
- Maintain long standing client relations through successful account management
Required Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of ROI driven Search Engine Marketing experience; Google AdWords Certification is a strong positive
- 5+ years of cumulative online marketing experience—with proven success—preferred
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

- SEO proficiency
- Energized by solving problems and finding opportunities to make a campaign successful
- Strong communication skills and organized project management
- Demonstrated leadership and self-management skills
- Self-directed
- Business acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently with all levels of management
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment
- Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience working with Omniture, WebTrends, Google Analytics, and other 3rd party web analytics
Compensation: Competitive base salary, depending on experience, plus commission. No relocation expenses are available for this position.
